Dexor’s Multi TCP Protocol
TCP transfer for paths where UDP cannot be used
DMTP, Dexor’s Multi TCP Protocol, is the TCP-based transport mode in Dataclone. Users select it manually when UDP data traffic is unavailable or not permitted. DMTP keeps the direct agent-to-agent payload path and uses the same separate control plane as the other Dataclone modes.
Performance mechanism
Built to outperform traditional TCP-based file-transfer tools
DMTP combines parallelism, Dexor’s transfer protocol and an I/O pipeline designed for large datasets. Together, these mechanisms outperform traditional TCP-based file-transfer tools while fitting TCP-only network policy on paths where the configured TCP ports are permitted.
Transfer protection
TLS protection for each transfer
The backend provides transfer-specific TLS material to the participating agents over the authenticated encrypted control channel. The agents use that material to establish TLS-protected DMTP payload traffic.
Configured ports
Permit the TCP data ports selected for the path
DMTP data ports are selected in the Dataclone configuration. Participating hosts and firewalls must permit the selected TCP ports between the agents.
